This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center that provides comprehensive cardiovascular surgical services to the community. The hospital features state-of-the-art technology, including Epic EMR documentation system, and offers a collaborative environment with a dedicated team of cardiac and vascular surgeons.

Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Job Details:
• 4-day, 10-hour workweek schedule with consistent hours
• Position available starting in February due to recent APP resignation
• Primarily a rounding position with no OR responsibilities
• Care for both cardiac and vascular surgery patients
• Average patient load of 15 patients per day (can range from 15-30 on weekends)
• Coverage includes CVICU patients (2-8 daily), CVSU patients (2-5 daily plus discharges), and vascular patients (4-10 between ICU and floors)
• 1 in 4 weeks on call (first call from home)
• 1 weekend shift per month required
• Must be Board Certified as an APP
• Active Michigan State Medical License or NLC preferred
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required
• Clean Malpractice and License History highly preferred
• Must be experienced - new graduates not accepted
• NPDB self-query required at presentation (within 30 days)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
