Dr. Azode is currently President of the Igbo Community Association, Arizona.

Chioma Ogunedo

Chioma Ogunedo DNP, FNP

President: National Association of Nigerian Nurse Practitioners USA, New England, Massachusetts Chapter (NANNPU-NE).

Dr. Ogunedo received a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, a master’s degree in Nursing from Pace University in New York and a doctoral degree in nursing practice from Capella University in 2018. She has a 24-year of experience as a healthcare professional. Prior to being a nurse, she worked as an educator in Nigeria. Currently, she works as a House calls NP in Boston Massachusetts.


Dr. Ogunedo enjoys medical mission trips to Africa. Her passion is to take healthcare to the underserved. She believes in closing the health disparities that exist among the underserved.

Chika Ibeku

Chika Ibeku DNP, FNP, MSN, PMHNP

Chika Ibeku started her nursing career over 20 years ago at the School of Nursing, University Teaching Hospital Aba, Abia State. After completing her general nursing, she earned her associate degree in Midwifery at Holy Rosary School of Midwifery Emekeukwu, Owerri, Imo State before migrating to the USA in 1996.

On getting to the USA, she worked in Newark Beth Israel Hospital and the University of Medicine and Dentistry Teaching hospital, New Jersey, as a Telemetry nurse. Dr. Chika Ibeku earned her bachelor’s in nursing in 2006 from Jersey City University in New Jersey. 

Her passion for Primary Care propelled her to get a master’s degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner at the Felician University in Lodi New Jersey in 2012. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has worked over ten years with the Newark Health Department in their Family Health Center which is a Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Founder: Operation No Child Left Behind” in conjunction with Umuaka women in the USA. She is making strides to educate the youth, improve Igbo culture and maintain the welfare of her people.

Princess Chi-Chi Dorothy Amadi-Ojinnaka has MSN. She also has AGNP-C. She is from the first family in Umuaka in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State. She is blessed with four beautiful children, two boys, two girls and a wonderful, loving husband.

Seeing hearts stop and get restarted is something Chi-Chi has been involved in for almost half of her nursing career. Taking care of people’s hearts is something she takes pride in. Chi-Chi enjoys singing and loves to travel.
